Unlike many of the others, this one doesn’t appear to be the work of a clueless or malicious translator; I think it says exactly what it’s meant to say and is intended for purchase by people who understand what it means. Essentially the same joke is used (about a dog named Menchi instead of a child) in Excel Saga; one of the ad campaigns for the DVDs was along the lines of “Buy the DVDs, or the Menchi gets it.”
